NEW ORLEANS – Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu will join Dr. Arnel Cosey, Vice Chancellor, Delgado Community College, Thelma French, President & CEO, Total Community Action, Gina-Marie Bernal, Business Development & Operations, Royal Engineering and U.S. Department of Labor Deputy Secretary Chris Lu as he visits New Orleans to show support for the Landrieu Administration’s progress in economic opportunity for disadvantaged workers and businesses.
They will meet at Delgado Community College, Sidney Collier Site, 3727 Louisa St., at 2:45 p.m.
In 2014, Mayor Landrieu launched the Mayor’s Economic Opportunity Strategy, which was founded to establish productive partnerships with anchor institutions, small businesses, nonprofits, philanthropy and City agencies, as well as to connect the hardest to employ to opportunities.
