NEW ORLEANS—Daughters of Charity Foundation of New Orleans (DCFNO) announced that Mayor Mitch Landrieu will receive the Inspired Cross Award at the Foundation’s 5th annual “Keeping Our Promises” Gala taking place Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Messina’s at the Terminal.

The Patron Party starts at 7:00 p.m., and The Gala, which includes the presentation of the Inspired Cross Award and a silent auction, follows from 8:00 p.m. until 11 p.m.

“We are honored to present the 2016 Inspired Cross Award to Mayor Landrieu,” said Michael G. Griffin, President and CEO of Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans. “The Mayor has worked tirelessly to improve the health status of our community, and his commitment to return accessible primary and preventive health care to New Orleans East through a public-private partnership with the Daughters, as well as a full-service hospital in collaboration with the New Orleans Hospital Service District and LCMC, is commendable.”
