Mayor Landrieu, NOPD Superintendent Harrison To Join U.S. Conference Of Mayors At Interfaith Service In Dallas

NEW ORLEANS – Today, Mayor Mitch Landrieu will travel to Dallas for an Interfaith Service at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, at 12:00 p.m., to honor the lives of five slain police officers last week and show support for the Dallas community. Mayor Landrieu was invited by Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and will join the leadership team of The U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) for this trip.

         Mayor Landrieu currently serves as USCM Vice President.

         In Dallas, he will join USCM President and Oklahoma City (OK) Mayor Mick Cornett, USCM 2nd Vice President and Columbia (SC) Mayor Steve Benjamin, and USCM CEO & Executive Director Tom Cochran at the service at the Meyerson Symphony Hall.

         New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Michael Harrison is also joining Mayor Landrieu on this trip to Dallas to show his support for Dallas law enforcement.
