NEW ORLEANS – Tonight, residents, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials will rally together in the fight against crime at the 32nd Annual Kelly Marrione National Night Out Against Crime.
The Night Out Against Crime Kickoff Party takes place Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. in St. Roch Park (1800 St. Roch Ave.).
The event is geared to unite neighborhoods and send a clear message to criminals— there is no tolerance for crime in our city.
“Public safety is my top priority,” Mayor Landrieu said. “And I am committed to working every day to ensure that every neighborhood in New Orleans is a safe neighborhood. That is why we recently launched Operation Relentless Pursuit, which will work alongside our NOLA FOR LIFE murder reduction strategy to increase police presence on the streets, improve response times and reduce crime across the city. As a city and a community, we must work together to build a city of peace and prosperity.”
There are more than 200 registered events across the city.
