Mardi Gras Clean Up

Now that Carnival is over, Barbara Bolotte is helping clients clean up their diets via her meal delivery service, Clean Creations

For Personal Trainer and Fitness Expert, Barbara Bolotte, starting her business, Clean CrEATions, came out of the desire to help her clients go the extra mile in their pursuit of health. After working with her personal training clients for years, Bolotte noticed that even those who faithfully showed up for sessions at the gym struggled most with their diets. Knowing that you can’t out-exercise a bad diet, Bolotte embraced the idea of giving more to her clients outside of the training facility.

“I was a personal trainer and gym manager and the feedback that I received from many of my training clients was exactly the same: no time, few options, lack of preparation,” says Barbara Bolotte, owner of Clean Creations. “So I began prepping, cooking and packaging meals for clients to make their lives easier and healthy eating simple. The results were incredible! They performed better in the gym, they didn’t have to spend hours grocery shopping, prepping or trying to figure out what was for dinner.”

Bolotte took the idea and ran with it, no pun intended. Her motto, “Think Big, Start Small.” Her focus began working out her menu and finding the right team to help her realize her new dream.

“In the beginning stages of my business, assembling the right team was a challenge,” she says. “It was hard to find the right people with the same vision and passion.”

Once Bolotte got her team in place, which included Chef Matt Donelon (Rene Bistrot and Cuvée) she began to focus on the what, where and how. She has been involved with the fitness industry for years and recognizes that eating well is a learn-as-you-go process for everyone. She opted to process orders from their website.

“Every week we post a new menu to CleanCreations.net,” she says. “Our clients choose from a delicious menu of perfectly portioned, fresh meals that will be delivered right to their door. We offer meals that are designed to help you achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.”

As for the ingredients in each pre-portioned meal, clients can expect ingredients that are sourced locally.

“Our meals are created locally, with handpicked produce, lean proteins and complex carbohydrates,” Bolotte says. “All of the orders are placed and purchased directly on the site. We deliver the meals in an insulated cooler with ice packs that will keep the meals at a safe temperature so that they are fresh and ready for you when you get home.”

As for her target demographic, Bolotte says her clientele ranges from athletes, and busy moms, to young professionals and single people living alone. And as for how she’s getting the word out, her business is speaking for itself.

“We have been extremely lucky that most of our business comes from referral,” she says. “Word of mouth marketing is essential for our business and we feel that every client is an advocate for our services, which is why we put so much care and time into the product that we sell.”

Bolotte and her team also embrace the trend of posting pictures of your food on social media.

“We also market through social media which has helped a lot because we can post pictures of the meals so people can see how delicious the food looks even though it’s ‘healthy,’” she says. “We also recently got our delivery van wrapped and proudly use that as a form of mobile marketing.”

The future is looking bright and healthy for Bolotte and her clients and she’s ready to bring on even more new clients looking to clean up their act post-Mardi Gras.

“We are currently servicing over 200 clients and are ready to take on more!” she says. “We have a great team that works extremely hard to make sure every meal is prepared, packaged, portioned and delivered with the utmost attention and care to detail!”
