NEW ORLEANS – The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk® will celebrate the 31st year of Lundi Gras on the Mississippi River with free music, fireworks and the arrival of Rex, King of Carnival, Monday, Feb. 27, at Spanish Plaza, 500 Port of New Orleans Place, from 12:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Continuing last year’s tradition, Rex and his entourage will arrive at Riverwalk’s Spanish Plaza aboard elegantly decorated vintage railroad cars.
Events will include:
• 12:15 p.m. – King James & the Special Men
• 2:15 p.m. – Big Sam’s Funky Nation featuring Big Chief Monk Boudreaux
• 4:15 p.m. – Cowboy Mouth
• 6:00 p.m. – Arrival of Rex, King of Carnival
Local food and drink vendors, including Moe’s BBQ, will be selling refreshments.
