MANSO To Bring International Piano Competition, Keyboard Festival To New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – Carefully chosen from more than 180 international auditions, 12 of the world’s most talented up-and-coming pianists have been invited to New Orleans by the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans (MASNO) for a week of magnificent piano playing as semi-finalists will be competing for performance and cash prizes totaling over $35,000.

The New Orleans International Piano Competition (NOIPC) runs in conjunction with the New Orleans Piano Institute and Keyboard Festival featuring masterclasses and recitals open to the public. In addition, Guest Artists Marianna Prjevalskaya of Spain and Danny Driver of the United Kingdom will be presenting solo recitals.

As the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans (MASNO) celebrates its 36th anniversary this year, it continues its efforts to make New Orleans a vital and vibrant center for the musical arts: providing opportunities to hear some of the world's best musical talents; developing enthusiastic audiences; nurturing the development of talent; and championing music education through innovative programming and signature events such as the New Orleans International Piano Competition, the New Orleans Piano Institute and Keyboard Festival, Concerto Showcase in collaboration with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Nocturne, Salon Concerts, and MASNO Artist Master Classes and Lecture Performances at area schools.
