Maison Dupuy's Courtyard Re-Opens, Hotel Donates To Police And Justice Foundation, Café Reconcile

NEW ORLEANS – More than one hundred New Orleanians, city leaders and tourism industry members gathered at the Maison Dupuy Hotel, 1001 Toulouse St., last night to celebrate the re-opening of the hotel’s newly renovated courtyard.
The event coincided with the Maison Dupuy’s monthly event, Sippin’ in the Courtyard, and guests were served chargrilled oysters and specialty cocktails while hotel general manager Steve Ferran spoke of the hotel’s dedication to serving New Orleans.
In addition to the Maison Dupuy’s commitment to honor New Orleans police – a portion of monies raised at Sippin’ in the Courtyard events are donated to the New Orleans Police and Justice Foundation to purchase police vests – the hotel also showed its devotion to serving the city’s youth.
Last night, Ferran presented a representative from Café Reconcile a $7,000 check and a promise to continue providing opportunities to the youth Café Reconcile serves. The hotel currently employs four of the organization’s graduates, one of which is the sous chef.
The Maison Dupuy’s renovated courtyard will host weddings, brunches and events throughout the year.
