NEW ORLEANS — Lisa Rotondo-McCord, Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs at the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), has announced Madeleine Wieand as Collection Database Associate. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Madeleine Wieand received her B.F.A. in Photography from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to joining NOMA, Wieand worked in gallery administration and with Artex Risk Solutions. She is also an artist member of The Front, a collectively-run exhibition space in the Bywater. At NOMA, Wieand position of Collection Database Associate, funded by an IMLS grant, will focus on digitization of the museum’s renowned African art collection.
