Lyft Shares Data In Celebration Of Jazz Fest


NEW ORLEANS — In celebration of New Orleans residents attending Jazz Fest this past week, Lyft, the the fastest growing rideshare company in the United States, looked into its local data to find exactly how people got to Jazz Fest, as well as the impact made on New Orleans Lyft drivers.

In looking at New Orleans data during Jazz Fest last year, Lyft found:

  • The Jazz Fest Fairgrounds was the top destination passengers rode to 
  • There was more than an 80% increase in tips to Lyft drivers
  • 7 p.m. was the most popular time to take a ride
  • There was more than a 10% increase in passengers splitting the fare
