Here’s some helpful information for anybody who plans to request a Lyft from the new MSY airport terminal.

With the unveiling of the new MSY terminal, Lyft has introduced a new pickup experience called “Fast Match.” The service links riders to a Lyft ambassador at a dedicated Fast Match curbside pickup line.
This new feature adds to the suite of offerings Lyft provides in partnership with airports and cities to alleviate congestion, enhance curbside safety, and help riders more easily reach the people and places that matter to them most.
“Lyft’s new features, including Fast Match, aim to lower wait times and reduce congestion, while still allowing users to enjoy the ease and convenience provided by Lyft,” said Lyft General Manager Eli Ackerman. “We look forward to our continued collaboration with Airport leadership so that together we can provide a seamless experience for all travelers.”
How it works:
[1] Enter your destination, and request a standard Lyft ride.
[2] If available, you’ll see a new screen pop up in your app. Tap Get code to get your unique four-digit code.
[3] Follow the directions and join the Lyft Fast Match line. (A friendly Lyft ambassador will be there to assist you.)
[4] When you get to the front of the line, show your code to the driver. Once you’re matched, hop in, and be on your way.
