NEW ORLEANS – Jones Walker LLP announced Alison Lungstrum-Macneill has joined the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group as special counsel in the New Orleans office.
Lungstrum-Macneill focuses her practice on defending employers in both state and federal courts and before state and federal agencies against allegations of discrimination, retaliation, and sexual harassment, as well as wage claims arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act and similar state and federal laws. As an employment litigator, Lungstrum-Macneill has been on litigation teams that have obtained jury verdicts in favor of one of the nation's leading oil and gas industry service providers in a race discrimination lawsuit, and in favor of an NFL football team in a three-week age discrimination lawsuit, as well as an arbitration ruling in favor of a major non-profit health system in a False Claims Act whistleblower retaliation case.
Lungstrum-Macneill is admitted to practice in Kansas, Louisiana and Missouri and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association, as well as the Missouri Bar Association and Kansas City Bar Association. She was named to the 2016 Louisiana Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list and to the 2014 Kansas and Missouri Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars lists.
Lungstrum-Macneill received her juris doctor degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2010 and her bachelor's degree from Yale University in 2004.
