Lundi Gras Festivities At The Riverwalk Include Rex Arrival, Free Music, Fireworks

NEW ORLEANS – The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk® celebrates the return of Lundi Gras on the Mississippi with free music, fireworks and the arrival of Rex, King of Carnival.

         On Monday, February 8, 2016, at the Riverwalk’s Spanish Plaza, The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk, 500 Port of New Orleans Place, from 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., there will be an All-Star entertainment line-up featuring Cowboy Mouth, Bonerama and Big Sam’s Funky Nation:

         In addition to the festivities beginning earlier than in previous years, this year’s event boasts several new features, including the addition of a fourth band, Cowboy Mouth, to the entertainment line-up. The legendary New Orleans rock group’s Lundi Gras performance will also be filmed as part of a reality television show. Afterwards, for the first time in history, Rex will arrive at the Poydras Street entrance, as opposed to Canal Street.
