NEW ORLEANS – The LSU Health Foundation announced in a press release that Megan Haggerty Guy will serve as the new Executive Director of Business Ventures. Guys has 20 years of business development leadership across financial and legal industries. She began this fall.
Guy, a former Partner at Adams and Reese LLP, graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1995 before attending Tulane Law School. She earned her master's degree from Tulane Freeman School of Business in 2014 and continued to broaden her professional experience to include a position as executive counsel and producer at Gillis Ellis & Baker, Inc.
“The Foundation is unique in finding and bringing together partners in non-traditional ways to address multiple needs at one time," said Guy, “It’s unprecedented and we’ve started projects that look at our community in a new and better way.”
Through strategic business development, LSU Health Foundation strives to find ways to expand LSU Health Services to communities that need them. The most recent being the expansion into Federal City through the LSU Health Fitness Center, the first LSU presence in Algiers.
“We have a unique vision for the future of the LSU Health Foundation,” said Matthew Altier, CEO of the LSU Health Foundation, “To continue pursuing these projects and our current business development strategy, we need impressive individuals like Megan [Guy].”
Guy has also served on the Board of Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans, the Board of the Louisiana Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
