BATON ROUGE – Before voters head to the polls Saturday, October 24, 2015, to vote in Louisiana’s primary elections, they may want to log in to their existing account on www.freagle.com or create one if they haven’t already.
The political social network and brainchild of Niki Papazoglakis, rolled out two new features this week. Voters can share endorsement badges directly on their Facebook and Twitter accounts to show their family and friends who they will support at the polls Saturday.
Freagle also makes it easy for users to invite friends from Facebook to set up their own personalized political platform with its new “Invite my friends” feature that connects to existing Facebook accounts.
Freagle aims to improve voter turnout by providing candidates and voters with an entirely new way to connect. It officially launched in September and has seen an overwhelming response of Louisiana voters and candidates signing up for the platform in the past month.
“We hope to see voters and candidates even more engaged in this last week before the primaries and leading up to the runoff with the introduction of our two new features,” said Niki Papazoglakis, Freagle founder and CEO. “The badges will be a great way for those who know who they are supporting to share that with their hundreds or thousands of social media followers who may have not decided which way to vote yet.”
Users can customize their Freagle dashboards with the elections, candidates and issues most important to them as they make their decisions of who to vote for in Saturday’s primaries, as well as in the Saturday, November 21, runoff.
