NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A member of Louisiana's congressional delegation will head a new House panel on tax policy.
Rep. Charles Boustany, a Republican from Louisiana's 3rd Congressional District, announced Wednesday that he will be the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee's new subcommittee on Tax Policy.
Changes in the Ways and Means Committee's subcommittees and leadership posts came after its former chairman, Wisconsin Republican Paul Ryan, was elected Speaker of the House. Ryan was succeeded as chairman by Kevin Brady, a Texas Republican.
