BATON ROUGE (AP) — The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has reopened oyster harvest areas 2, 3 and 4 on the east side of the Mississippi River.
The state, in a news release Wednesday, said the areas reopened Sunday.
The areas were closed Dec. 11 due to the presence of red tide. On Jan. 13, areas 6 and 7 were reopened and area 5 was reopened Jan. 20.
Harvest area 1 remains closed until further notice.
