NEW ORLEANS — Fundraising professional Stephanie Lobato is the new managing director of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. A spokesperson said she will work with the executive director, board of trustees, orchestra members, staff and volunteers to “shape the LPO patron journey from first-time attendees to passionate advocates.”

“The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s success in expanding its cultural footprint and impact has positioned for greater progress, and Stephanie’s experience makes her the clear choice in supporting this progress,” said LPO Executive Director Anwar Nasir. “Her proven track record will play a pivotal role in developing a strategic vision and innovative approaches towards revenue growth, and we look forward to working together to steer the LPO towards further growth.”

Lobato previously was the director of advancement for the Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra, where she led fundraising, marketing and patron services since 2020. She spearheaded the launch of new data literacy efforts which led to the revitalization of HSO’s corporate giving program and growth of its donor base. She launched the revival of summer concerts at the Waikiki Shell, built audiences for the new HapaSymphony Series, and introduced the orchestra’s first music director to the community.

Lobato began her orchestral career at the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, where she managed an annual fund and led fundraising efforts for free regional performances. She also ran front-of-house logistics for the annual performance at Parkview Field, home to the Fort Wayne Tin Caps baseball team.

Lobato earned a bachelor’s degrees in music education and vocal performance and earned a master’s degree in arts administration from Indiana University.
