Louisiana Energy Conference To Feature 18+ Panels In June

NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Energy Conference takes place Wednesday, June 1, through Friday, June 3, 2016, at the Westin Canal Place Hotel, 100 Iberville St., in New Orleans.

The 2016 Conference will consist of a series of at least 18 panels of executives from a variety of public and private energy companies as well as advisory and support firms that will discuss key domestic and international industry issues.

Organizers said the major changes that have occurred in the energy industry since late 2014 will make the panel-focused Conference particularly relevant in 2016. Participants will hear from executive management from both public and private E&P and oil field services companies to learn how they are coping with low energy prices and reduced capital expenditure budgets, and what their expectations are for the future.

The Conference will again be comprised solely of panel discussions rather than typical scripted company presentations. Conference reps said the addition of private company executives to the panels continues to add a new dimension to the discussion of key industry issues. While many public companies with challenged balance sheets have curtailed communicating with investors, private companies believe the current environment provides them with exciting opportunities to grow.

There will also be some new topical panels that will address issues such as Debt Restructurings, M&A Activity, Activist Investors, Hedging, and New International Offshore Opportunities in Cuba and Mexico.

The most popular panels will also return including Commercial Banking, Deep Water Gulf of Mexico and several Private Equity panels.
