BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) has launched a podcast on current topics related to agriculture and forestry.
“Agriculture and forestry is a $13 billion industry in the state of Louisiana and these industries impact everyone who lives in our great state and the rest of the world. If there’s an issue we’re dealing with at the state or federal levels, we want you to know about it,” said LDAF Commissioner Mike Strain, D.V.M. “This is also a way for you to become more informed.”
The podcast is called “Three 4 Fifteen” in which Strain or other agriculture and forestry professionals will discuss three topics for five minutes. In the first podcast, the topics of infrastructure, the importance of prescribed burning and the banner sugarcane crop this year are addressed.
A podcast is a digital audio or video file in which a user can download and listen to on a computer, mobile device or portable media player.
