MONROE, LA (AP) — Louisiana Delta Community College has received in instructional equipment worth $500,000 from the Workforce Development Board.
The New-Star’s Bonnie Bolden reports the board and community college have partnered since LDCC's founding in 2001. One particular venture has managed to touch the lives of several northeastern Louisiana residents. It began with a grant, Community Based Job-Training, which was awarded to the board's Business and Career Solution Center operators by the U.S. Department of Labor.
This award procured manufacturing instructional equipment, valued in excess of $500,000, to be used in Delta's Certified Manufacturing Specialist program.
