Louisiana Credit Unions Assist Federal Workers During Government Shutdown

NEW ORLEANS – To relieve financial tension for furloughed workers and their families during the government shutdown, credit unions across the state are providing specialized services and accommodations.

Details were shared in a press release.

“The credit union mission is to not only provide a transactional experience for our members, but to work hand-in-hand with them to meet their financial needs and goals,” said Bob Gallman, president and CEO of the Louisiana Credit Union League. “The government shutdown is creating many burdens for furloughed workers, especially financially, which is why credit unions across the state are stepping up to help.”
