BATON ROUGE (AP) — Louisiana's 15 riverboats, four racetrack slots casinos and Harrah's New Orleans casino brought in nearly $218.8 million in April, an 0.82 percent decrease from April 2015's $220.6 million.
Baton Rouge was the only casino market in the state to see its winnings go up in April when compared with the year before.
According to figures released Monday by state police, the three riverboat casinos brought in $25.7 million in April, a 6.7 percent increase from the $24.1 million in winnings during April 2015.
The New Orleans casino market saw its winnings fall by 0.74 percent in April.
Lake Charles, the state's largest casino market, saw its winnings drop by 0.89 percent.
Shreveport-Bossier City was down 2.8 percent, with the six riverboat casinos and the slots at Harrah's racetrack bringing in $59.3 million.
