“Looting Louisiana” Infomercial Airs This Weekend, Attacks Oil And Gas Industries

NEW ORLEANS – "Looting Louisiana: A Scandal Hiding in Plain Sight," is a 30-minute infomercial alleging the oil and gas industry used its power and influence to worsen the state's fiscal crisis.

         It will air in New Orleans on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday, May 31, at 12:30 p.m., on WVUE-TV Fox 8.

         Mike Stagg, researcher and narrator of the project, describes the program as "a story about money, power, greed and corruption,” based on findings in five reports by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor, publications of the Louisiana Department of Revenue and the records of the Louisiana Legislature.
