Local Chefs Expected To Attend Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Visitation, Funeral Services, Mass

NEW ORLEANS – Funeral services for legendary Louisiana Chef Paul Prudhomme, who died Thursday at 75 after a brief illness, have been set.

         According to WWLTV.com’s Dominic Massa, visitation will be held Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

         Massa reports visitation will continue Monday, October 12, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter, and a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

         Funeral director Kevin Hasson told Massa that many of Prudhomme's colleagues from the food and restaurant world are expected, and there may be plans for a special tribute after the Mass, involving Prudhomme's iconic restaurant, K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen, on Chartres Street.
