LMOGA President John To Speak At PABI General Membership Luncheon

BELLE CHASSE, LA – The Plaquemines Association of Business & Industry (PABI) will present Chris John, President of the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association (LMOGA), as their keynote speaker for their September General Membership Luncheon on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at the Bayou Barriere Golf Club, 7427 LA-23, in Belle Chasse.

         There will be a 11:30 a.m. networking session followed by a 12:00 p.m. luncheon and program.

         Mississippi River Bank is the corporate sponsor for the event, and Chevron, Oronite, Daybrook and Venice Port Complex are the gold sponsors.

         LMOGA, founded in 1923, is a trade association exclusively representing all sectors of the oil and gas industry operating in Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico. LMOGA's mission is to promote and represent the oil and gas industry operating in Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico by extending representation of their members to the Louisiana Legislature, state and federal regulatory agencies, the Louisiana congressional delegation, the media and the general public.

         John was named president of LMOGA in August 2007. Prior to joining LMOGA, John was managing director of Ogilvy Government Relations in Washington, D.C., representing the firm's clients in matters dealing primarily with energy legislation in Congress. John is a Louisiana native and former congressman, representing Louisiana's 7th Congressional District from 1997 to 2005, where he served on the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee. He is also a former member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, serving from 1987 to 1995, where his committee assignments included the House Natural Resources Committee.

         Tickets for PABI members are $25.00 and $30.00 for future members.
