NEW ORLEANS — Limousine Livery, a local luxury transportation provider, was recently featured in Busline Magazine where President Christy Dirks and Director of Business Development Aaron Dirks discussed the business’ history and plans for expansion.
With over three decades of providing transportation in New Orleans, Limousine Livery currently has the largest number of hotel transportation contracts in New Orleans.
Limousine Livery’s current fleet is at a total of 50 vehicles, 10 being small to mid-size busses. With the noticeable change in the transportation industry with for-hire car services such as Uber and Lyft, Dirks plans to focus on increasing the number of larger transportation vehicles.
“We recognize that with the disruption from different on-demand car services in the for-hire transportation industry, the small vehicle category is becoming disturbed and commoditized,” said President Christy Dirks. “Therefore, we believe our future investments should be focused on the larger asset classes for transportation. This includes different bus categories.”
The larger vehicles offered by Limousine Livery give clients an opportunity for a unique experience in the hospitality industry with the most up to date technology in their fleet and classically trained chauffeurs, Limousine Livery reps said. With 120 current employees and a recently expanded office space, Limousine Livery plans on continuing to diversify and expand their transportation services and capabilities to tour and travel categories with these busses.
Additionally, Limousine Livery was recently recognized as a Clean Fleet Leader by the Regional Planning Commission’s (RPC’s) Southeast Louisiana Clean Fuel Partnership, a U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities Coalition. Limousine Livery has consecutively been a recipient of this award for the last five years, first winning the award in 2011.
“We are proud of not only being one of the top luxury transportation services in New Orleans, but also an environmentally friendly one,” said Director of Business Development Aaron Dirks. “I’m an environmental engineer, and my wife Christy Dirks has an environmental science degree from West Point. We have always been dedicated to living our lives as sustainably as possible, and it is no different for our business.”
Limousine Livery is the only Luxury Clean Fleet award winner in the greater New Orleans region.
