NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Historic Gallier Hall in New Orleans is in need of major renovations but that won't stop plans for an elaborate light show set to be projected onto the building at the end of this month.
The New Orleans Advocate’s Jaquetta White reports Arts Council of New Orleans President Kim Cook said Tuesday that an open-air video and sound installation will go on as planned, nightly from Nov. 30 – Dec. 6.
Cook said the show should not be affected by the 165-year-old building's need for repairs.
New Orleans Deputy Mayor Cedric Grant recently told the City Council that there are problems with the stone cornice on the granite and limestone building's façade.
Repairs may mean some official functions held at the building will have to be moved.
