NEW ORLEANS – Liberty’s Kitchen, a workforce development nonprofit, has announced that Ann Heslin, Lori Johnson and Chef Sue Zemanick have joined its board of directors.
Heslin, who is director of stewardship events at Ochsner Health, has a background in fundraising and community boards. She earned a master’s degree in preservation studies from Tulane University and has held positions at De La Salle High School, Stuart Hall School for Boys and the Audubon Nature Institute.
Johnson is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law. She is a career staff attorney at the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, and she donates her time to Edible Schoolyard New Orleans and the Greater New Orleans Kappa Delta Alumnae Chapter.

Zemanick is executive chef at Zazu and was recognized as the “Best Chef, South” by the James Beard Foundation in 2013.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ann Heslin, Lori Johnson and Chef Sue Zemanick to our board of directors,” said Liberty’s Kitchen Executive Director Bernadette Lucas. “Their diverse areas of expertise are integral as we continue to grow as an organization.
