Welcome to the Winter 2025–2026 issue of REGION Magazine. In this edition, we highlight the people, partnerships, and places shaping the next chapter of economic growth across Southeast Louisiana, from workforce pipelines and inclusive entrepreneurship to regional competitiveness and community leadership.
We begin with a look at the Greater New Orleans Infrastructure Partnership, a landmark effort aligning community colleges, employers, and public partners to prepare residents for high-demand infrastructure careers. Backed by a U.S. Department of Labor grant, this initiative is building coordinated, employer-driven pathways into construction, energy, manufacturing, transportation, and emerging fields like electric vehicle technology.
Turning to the Northshore, we explore how St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington parishes are translating sustained population growth into targeted economic development. With major investments like Niagara Bottling and ChillCo, long-range planning through THRIVE2029, and a sharpened focus on site readiness, the Northshore continues to strengthen its industrial base while protecting quality of life.
We also take a closer look at Startup Noir NOLA, an initiative created to ensure Black founders are showcased as a driving force behind the region’s growing innovation economy. Through investor tours, founder convenings, and community-building programs, Startup Noir NOLA is working to expand access to capital and customers while positioning New Orleans as a national model for Black innovation.
This issue also features two profiles that humanize the region’s progress. We meet Allison Hotard, Executive Director of the Young Leadership Council, whose journey reflects the power of civic engagement and the importance of cultivating the next generation of leaders. We also profile Delta Administrative Services, a family-driven company redefining HR by pairing operational expertise with a deep commitment to people, culture, and community impact.
Together, these stories reflect a community that is investing with intention, aligning growth with inclusion, and building systems that support long-term prosperity. Thank you for your continued support of GNO, Inc. and for being part of the work shaping our region’s future.
Sincerely,

Michael Hecht
Greater New Orleans, Inc. President & CEO
