Lemonade Day Louisiana Launches Today

BATON ROUGE – Lemonade Day Louisiana sponsors and partners hosted a special press conference at the LSU E. J. Ourso College Business Education Complex (BEC) at 10:30 a.m. today, to officially kick-off the event in Baton Rouge.

         Hosted by the E. J. Ourso College of Business Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute, Lemonade Day Louisiana Co-Founder & Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers CEO Todd Graves joined Louisiana Secretary of State Tom Schedler, Lemonade Day Louisiana Baton Rouge City Champion Chris Ferrari, Lafayette City Champion Richard Zuschlag and dozens of metro youth to announce plans for this year's Lemonade Day.

         Lemonade Day Louisiana is a free, statewide program dedicated to teaching children how to start, own and operate their own business through the simple and time-honored act of building and running a lemonade stand. Young entrepreneurs are provided with free, detailed support materials to help them establish their lemonade stand on Lemonade Day, Saturday, April 30.

         Lemonade Day Louisiana was founded by entrepreneurs Todd Graves and John Georges in 2010 and has reached more than 75,000 youth in Louisiana. Lemonade Day's program is empowering today's youth to become tomorrow's entrepreneurs, one lemonade stand at a time.
