LeadingAge Convenes In New Orleans For Annual Meeting & Expo

NEW ORLEANS – LeadingAge will welcome an estimated 7,000 professionals from the aging services field to the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Sunday, Oct. 29 – Wednesday, Nov. 1, for their Annual Meeting & Expo, “The Power of Purpose.”

An ageism exhibit will take place Saturday, Oct. 28 – Saturday, Nov. 4, at The National World War II Museum. The exhibit raises awareness about ageism, an issue LeadingAge is committed to fighting. By inviting New Orleans residents and visitors to envision their future selves, LeadingAge aims to encourage participants to create a positive image of aging in our society. A graphic illustrator will be on site Oct. 28-29 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will help New Orleans consumers envision themselves differently as they think about growing older. The event is open to the public.

LeadingAge is an association of more than 6,000 members and partners that include nonprofit organizations representing the entire field of aging services, 38 state partners, as well as businesses, consumer groups, foundations and research partners.
