LCI, LCIA To Host ‘HR In The A.M.: Running Out Of Time To Be Compliant With Overtime’

NEW ORLEANS – Significant changes to federal overtime rules take effect on December 1, 2016, raising the salary threshold for exempt workers to $913/ week or $47,466 a year.

         Terese Bennett, small business attorney and counselor, will lead LCI and LCIA’s breakfast seminar “HR In The A.M.: Running Out Of Time To Be Compliant With Overtime,” on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots, 1751 Gentilly Blvd., from 8:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

         The event will focus on the ins-and-outs of the new rules, including an overview of the Fair Labor Standards Act and options for compliance. She'll also give you a step-by-step checklist to help you prepare for those changes.
