NEW ORLEANS – Since its inception in 2009, Launch Pad in downtown New Orleans has provided a top-notch coworking space, resources, and a community to help entrepreneurs and small businesses grow and thrive. Its local members have created more than 5,000 jobs and raised $160 million in capital; and its graduates have leased 600,000 square feet of new office space.
The company is now celebrating its 10th anniversary by hosting a party on Thursday, May 2, at 10:30 a.m., at Launch Pad (400 Poydras Street, Suite 900).
“After Katrina, we set out to rebuild the New Orleans business community not to what it was before, but to what we wanted it to be—a thriving entrepreneurial city with amazing cultural and historic assets that draws talent from across the country," said Launch Pad founder and CEO Chris Schultz. "Ten years later, we’re tremendously proud of the impact Launch Pad has had in catalyzing the ecosystem in New Orleans. The next ten years are about creating this transformational change we’ve seen in New Orleans across the country. Of course, we’re born and bred in NOLA, and the impact we have across the country will be led from this great city we call home."
Looking to the next ten years, Launch Pad plans to continue to provide the best coworking space and resources for people to work entrepreneurially, while adding in the potential to provide funding for its members to further their businesses and startups. The company's passion is creating the world’s strongest community of entrepreneurs by creating and supporting hubs of entrepreneurship in mid-sized cities that recognize the importance of retaining talent and creating a diverse and equitable workforce.
The party on Thursday will give guests a chance to mingle while enjoying snacks and cocktails. RSVP here.
