NEW ORLEANS – The Urban League of Louisiana will host an accounting seminar on Monday, Sept. 11, at 4640 S. Carrollton Ave., Ste. 110, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., that focuses on using QuickBooks.
Urban League reps said QuickBooks is a valuable tool designed to assist entrepreneurs in tracking, monitoring and managing business finances.
During this interactive workshop participants will be introduced to the basics accounting principles and QuickBooks, including:
• System navigation
• Setting up a chart of accounts
• Managing customers and vendors
• Creating and managing payments and invoices
• Recording deposits and importing information
In addition, participants will gain insights into preparing and effectively utilizing QuickBooks Reporting Tools to help in making better business decisions, reps said.
For this session, attendees will need to bring laptops with QuickBooks software installed or downloaded in order to get the hands-on training provided at this event. Both QuickBooks desktop and online versions can be used.
Seating is limited and the session costs $35.
