LaPorte Names New Chief Operating Officer

METAIRIE — Nikki Burmeister has joined LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors as chief operating officer, announced Eric Bosch, firm president and CEO. Nikki replaces retiring COO Patricia “Patty” Paz. She will be located in LaPorte’s Metairie office.

In her role as COO, Burmeister will focus on operational excellence, resource management, and cross functional collaboration to support the firm’s mission and vision. She will oversee the day-to-day operations and report directly to the CEO. Nikki brings almost two decades of experience in operations and human resources management. Most recently, she served as chief operating officer for a $21 million commercial and residential design and build landscaping company. Prior to that she served as vice president of human resources in a number of different organizations of varying sizes and industries, including in facilities management, hospitality, and health sciences.
