LAPCS Resumes Weekly TV Show In New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools resumes its weekly TV show on Cox Cable Channel 4 in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Lafayette.

         The LAPCS will start airing the second season of its weekly TV show, Educating Louisiana, dedicated to education reform issues in southeast Louisiana. The show will air at 8:30 p.m. each Thursday featuring host Veronica Brooks.

The show opens Thursday, March 5, 2015, with an in-depth interview with LAPCS CEO Caroline Roemer Shirley about expectations for the coming Legislative Session.

On Thursday, March 12, the scheduled guests are Eastbank Collaborative of Charter Schools Director Rose Peterson and BESE Board member Dr. Judith Miranti of Xavier University. Peterson will focus on creative ways to sustain charter school operations, while Miranti will focus on issues challenging the state’s board of education in an election year.
