NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans restaurateurs AJ and Anna Tusa announced the grand opening of their newest restaurant Lafitte’s Landing Seafood House, located at 1700 Lapalco Blvd., in Harvey.
“We are excited to present a fresh and flavorful menu featuring all the crown jewels of the sea prepared New Orleans-style,” said the Tusas. “Lafitte’s Landing Seafood House offers an exciting, new option on the Westbank in a familiar location that has been completely renovated to create a dynamic and energetic dining experience.”
They said The Lafitte’s Landing Seafood House’s menu includes a full array of the freshest seafood available including oysters, lobster, shrimp, crab, fish and more, prepared New Orleans-style whether steamed, boiled or fried.
Guests will choose from oysters served grilled or raw, soft shell crabs, house specialty dishes such as Duck Lafitte, Redfish Pontchartrain, Fra Diablo and more, Classic Creole favorites including Shrimp and Grits, Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee and Shrimp Creole, each prepared with an authentic New Orleans flare, crisp salads and perfectly cooked filet mignons.
Desserts include Bananas Foster Cheesecake, White Chocolate or Bananas Foster Bread Pudding, Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte and Brownie Sundaes.
The bar will serve a variety of handcrafted cocktails and signature drinks, among them the refreshing Lafitte’s Landing Punch, the Big Easy, Southern Cooler, Cajun Bloody Mary and more.
Lafitte’s Landing Seafood House is the latest addition to the Tusa Restaurant Group which also includes New Orleans Creole Cookery, The Crazy Lobster and Time Out Sports & Grill in the New Orleans area, and Poppy's Seafood Factory and Roberto's Italian Pizzeria in Sandestin, FL.
AJ and Anna Tusa said their restaurant roots run deep. AJ’s instincts about traditional Creole and authentic New Orleans-style cooking are paired with skills brought to the table by AJ’s wife Anna, who boasts a degree in restaurant management and a proven business acumen, they said. Among other accomplishments, Anna is a public advocate for the National Restaurant Association, a member of the Louisiana Restaurant Association Board of Directors, and serves on the Louisiana Tourism Development Commission. In 2014, she was honored as a CityBusiness Woman of the Year. Together, the Tusas have created yet another distinct dining experience.

Lafitte’s Landing Seafood House is open daily for lunch and dinner with the full menu available from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Daily lunch specials are served from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
