BATON ROUGE – EASTPAC, a political action committee of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) announced their endorsement of Dan Claitor (R-Baton Rouge) for his election bid for Senate District 16.
EASTPAC covers Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
“We encourage the broader business community to support our endorsed candidates in their elections this fall,” said EASTPAC executive director Brian Landry. “This is a critical and dynamic election cycle and we must support those candidates who can make hard decisions in tough situations. Dan Claitor has the proven leadership skills to represent the business community of SD-16.”
EASTPAC said Claitor was born and raised in Baton Rouge and is a product of the local public schools. Claitor was brought up working in the family business and then went on to become a prosecutor. He has been serving the Louisiana people since 2009. Claitor and his wife have been married for 26 years and have raised two sons together.
“I am honored to have EASTPAC’s endorsement and the support of the business owners and community that they represent,” Claitor said. “EASTPAC members have a long history of fighting for the small businesses that are the lifeblood of our economy in Louisiana. As a small business owner I understand what it takes to sign the front of a paycheck and the struggles of trying to compete in the market.”
EASTPAC is a non-partisan political action committee working to recruit and support candidates who support the free enterprise market with as little government interference as possible.
