NEW ORLEANS – The Coalition for Medicare Choices (CMC) will host a roundtable discussion about the Medicare Advantage program with Senator Bill Cassidy and local seniors today, Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Uptown Shepherd’s Center, 921 S. Carrollton, from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Nationwide more than 17 million Americans, including more than 251,000 Louisiana residents, choose Medicare Advantage because of the higher-quality care and added benefits these health plans provide, CMC reps said.
The discussion with Senator Cassidy will focus on the value of Medicare Advantage to New Orleans seniors, and why protecting Medicare Advantage is a top issue for senior voters in the 2016 presidential election.
The Coalition for Medicare Choices is a national grassroots organization of more than 2 million Medicare Advantage beneficiaries from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, who have made millions of contacts with their members of Congress to encourage support of the program.
