LA Rep. Cromer To Run For Mayor Of Slidell

SLIDELL, LA – State Rep. Greg Cromer (R-Slidell) has announced his intention to run for Mayor of Slidell in the March 24, 2018, primary election.

         Cromer, 59, is in his third term in the Louisiana House of Representatives. He was previously elected to two terms on the Slidell City Council from District G, a post he vacated in 2007 after winning the District 90 House seat.

         Cromer holds a degree in industrial management from Southeastern Louisiana University, which he received in 1981, and an executive MBA from LSU, which he received in 2015. Cromer and his wife, Peggy, have two grown children, daughter Niki and her husband Steve, son Clay and his wife Erica and one grandson, Stephen.

         "I have lived almost my entire adult life in Slidell, and I love our city," Cromer said. "Peggy and I raised our children here, and we're proud to have been an active part of the community for many years. My record of service on the City Council and in the House demonstrates my commitment to efficient and honest government, and I'm hopeful the voters will receive my candidacy with enthusiasm and support."
