NEW ORLEANS — Spencer King has been named a member of law firm King & Jurgens.
King focuses primarily on the areas of commercial litigation and casualty defense. He has assisted and counseled clients in an array of disputes, including litigation between franchisees and franchisors; derivative disputes between members, partners and shareholders; claims involving unfair trade practices, fraud and tortious interference; and succession litigation involving succession representatives, heirs, legatees and trustees. He also frequently advises automobile dealerships on a number of industry-specific legal issues and handles dealership disputes with both manufacturers and customers in both court and administrative proceedings. He also has experience in bankruptcy-related litigation, including claw-back actions for preferential and fraudulent transfers.
King graduated cum laude from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he was the recipient of the John P. Laborde Scholarship. During law school, he was a member of the LSU Journal of Energy Law and Resources. He served as a judicial intern to Magistrate Judge Sally Shushan of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. He received his BA in history from Texas Christian University.
