KENNER, LA (AP) — Kenner residents interested in applying for home rehabilitation grants must do so by 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Applicants will be entered into a lottery drawing scheduled for Oct. 23. Ten homeowners will receive grants up to $60,000. Instructions and application forms are available on the city's website: www.kenner.la.us

Homeowners must hold clear title and occupy the residences they want to rehabilitate, and the residences must suffer a significant defect. Additionally, applicants' household incomes cannot exceed 50 percent of the area median income.
Applications are due by Friday to the city's Community Development Department, 624 Williams Blvd., Kenner, Louisiana, 70062.
