Kean Miller Names 3 New Partners

NEW ORLEANS —  Beau Bourgeois, Jeff Gelpi and Lauren Rucinski are the newest partners at Kean Miller.

Bourgeois practices in the commercial litigation and construction litigation groups. He earned his J.D./D.C.L., summa cum laude, from the LSU Law Center in 2016, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as an issue editor for the Louisiana Law Review. He earned his B.S.M., cum laude, from Tulane University, A.B. Freeman School of Business in 2013.

In the community, Bourgeois serves on the board of directors for Big Buddy Program. Big Buddy strives to build a community of mentoring relationships that advance and inspire youth to create meaningful change.

Gelpi practices in the environmental litigation and commercial litigation groups. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Carl J. Barbier of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and later served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edith Brown Clement of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is listed as a Rising Star by Louisiana Super Lawyers for 2020, 2023 and 2024.

Gelpi earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School in 2015, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an editor of the Tulane Law Review, a member of the Tulane Moot Court Board, and a legal research and writing senior fellow. He received numerous awards for his contributions to the Tulane Law Review. After graduation, Gelpi was appointed to serve as a junior member of the Louisiana State Law Institute. He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Louisiana State University in 2012.

Rucinski practices in the environmental regulatory and intellectual property groups. She is listed in Louisiana Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for 2022-2024 and The Best Lawyers in America as a One to Watch for 2024.

Rucinski earned her J.D./D.C.L., magna cum laude, from the LSU Law Center in 2016, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif, the Louisiana Law Review, and the Civil Mediation Clinic. She earned her B.S. in aerospace engineering and ocean engineering with a minor in green engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2013.
