NEW ORLEANS – Kean Miller LLP announced Chase E. Zachary, Jeffrey J. Gelpi, Thomas “Beau” Bourgeois, Jr., Lauren J. Rucinski and Maxwell B. Kallenberger have joined the firm as associate attorneys.
• Chase Zachary joins the firm as an associate in the Baton Rouge office. He practices in the environmental and commercial litigation groups. Prior to joining the firm, Zachary served as a law clerk for the Honorable David B. Sentelle at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Zachary earned his B.S., summa cum laude, from Southern Methodist University in 2006. He earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2011 and earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from New York University School of Law in 2014, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, a Florence Allen Scholar, a Richard L. Posen Scholar, and a Senior Articles Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law.
• Jeff Gelpi joins the firm as an associate in the New Orleans office. He will practice in the environmental and commercial litigation groups. Prior to joining the firm, Gelpi served as a law clerk for the Honorable Carl J. Barbier of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Gelpi earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Louisiana State University in 2012 and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School in 2015, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Tulane Law Review.
• Beau Bourgeois joins the firm as an associate in the Baton Rouge office. He will practice in the commercial litigation and construction groups. Bourgeois earned his B.S.M., cum laude, from Tulane University, A.B. Freeman and his J.D./D.C.L., summa cum laude, from the LSU Law Center in 2016, where he was a member of the Louisiana Law Review.
• Lauren Rucinski joins the firm as an associate in the Baton Rouge office. She will practice in the environmental regulatory group. Rucinski earned her B.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2013 and her J.D./D.C.L., magna cum laude, from the LSU Law Center in 2016, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Louisiana Law Review.
• Max Kallenberger joins the firm as an associate in the Baton Rouge office. He will practice in the business and corporate group. Max earned his B.S., cum laude, from Tulane University, A.B. Freeman School of Business in 2013 and his J.D./D.C.L., cum laude, from the LSU Law Center in 2016, where he was a member of the Louisiana Law Review.
