NEW ORLEANS – Kean Miller is announced in a press release that Claudia Carrizales and Rachel M. Scarafia have joined the firm as associate attorneys in the firm’s New Orleans office. Carrizales and Scarafia will practice with the Energy and Environmental Litigation practice group.
Carrizales earned her B.A. in both English-literature and political science, from Louisiana State University in 2014. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2017, where she was a member of the Maritime Law Journal and Moot Court staff member.
During law school, she interned for Judge Joy Lobrano at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal in New Orleans as well as Judge Patricia Minaldi at the U.S. District Court in Lake Charles.
Scarafia earned her BLS from Florida Atlantic University, Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College in 2009 and her masters of education from Florida Atlantic University College of Education in 2011. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2015, where she was named a William L. Crowe Sr. Scholar, admitted into the Order of the Barristers, member of the Moot Court executive board and the Loyola Law Review.
