Junior League Of New Orleans Opens Diaper Bank In Elmwood

ELMWOOD, LA – In conjunction with National Diaper Need Awareness Week (Sept. 25 through Oct. 1), the Junior League of New Orleans is celebrating the new home of its Diaper Bank, Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 1109 North Al Davis Rd., in Elmwood, at 10:00 a.m.

After the 10:00 a.m. ribbon cutting, attendees will go on a Diaper Bank tour and enjoy refreshments.

Founded in 2014, JLNO's Diaper Bank has distributed nearly one million diapers to Metropolitan New Orleans families.

This new space allows JLNO to house 500,000 diapers and have a robust sort and distribution schedule for its partners, reps said. The September distribution will provide more than 53,000 diapers to those in need.

JLNO has already distributed more than 125,000 diapers to families affected by Hurricane Harvey.
