NEW ORLEANS – Junior League of New Orleans will host its fifth annual Lemonade Day University on Saturday, April 22, at the Junior League of New Orleans Headquarters, 4319 Carondelet St., from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for children who have registered for this year's Lemonade Day.
The university is free for children ages 8-12. The course will cover how to make healthy lemonade, how to organize a business plan and budget, develop success strategies, how to market a lemonade stand and registration for Lemonade Day Louisiana.
Lemonade Day Louisiana is a free, statewide program dedicated to teaching children how to start, own and operate their own business through the simple and time-honored act of building and running a lemonade stand. Young entrepreneurs are provided with free, detailed support materials to help them establish their lemonade stand on Lemonade Day, Saturday, May 6.
Lemonade Day Louisiana was founded by entrepreneurs Todd Graves and John Georges in 2010 and has reached more than 100,000 kids. Organization reps said Lemonade Day's program is empowering today's youth to become tomorrow's entrepreneurs. One lemonade stand at a time.
