Judge Seeber Claiborne Avenue Bridge To Close This Weekend

NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the Judge Seeber (Claiborne Avenue) Bridge will be closed in both directions beginning Friday, Feb. 16 through Sunday, Feb. 18., for maintenance.

The closure schedule is as follows.

  • Friday, February 16, from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, February 17, from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, February 18, from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The suggested alternate routes are the St. Claude and Florida Avenue bridges.

All maintenance activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking or biking near the active work zone.
