NEW ORLEANS – At the Forum for Equality's 17th Annual Acclaim Awards Gala, at the Westin New Orleans, on Saturday, September 26, 2015, Judge Paula Brown will receive a Leadership Award.
During a night of celebration that honors those who are building a state of equality in Louisiana, additional awards will be bestowed including:
• Faith and Equality Awards: Rabbi Alexis Berk, Rabbi of Touro Synagogue
• Legal Award: Doug Hallward-Driemeier
• Political Advocacy Award: BreakOUT!
A Patron Party champagne reception starts at 5:00 p.m., followed by a cocktail reception and silent auction beginning at 6:00 p.m., which will lead into the awards ceremony and seated dinner starting at 7:30 p.m.
Throughout the night, there will be an open bar and entertainment provided by Master of Ceremonies, journalist and political historian, Bob Mann and a musical performance by Alexis and the Samurai.
Those who buy a table of 10 will be designated as Table Captains and be invited to the Patron Party.
